About Trash Pickup Schedule

This site answers one question: when does my trash go out? It exists because the answer is weirdly hard to find — buried in a city PDF, a hauler’s app, or a page that hasn’t been updated since the last route change. We put it one address search away.

Who’s behind this

We’re a small independent team that builds reference sites, and this one started the way most of them do: standing at the curb on the wrong morning. We’re not affiliated with any city or waste hauler — which is exactly why every fact here has to point back at an official source you can check yourself.

Where the schedules come from

Everything on this site comes from publicly available information: each city’s own published pages, maps, calendars and service documents, or the page of the hauler that city names as its contracted provider. Nothing is inferred, estimated, crowd-sourced, or copied from another directory.

Why you can trust it

• Every fact is sourced. Each collection day is stored with the page it came from and the exact sentence that states it — and every city page links its sources so you can verify us in one click.
• We’d rather say nothing than guess. When a city publishes zones but we can’t verify which one your address falls in, you see no day at all rather than a likely one. A wrong day means trash sitting at the curb — worse than no answer.
• Honest negatives. 14 of the cities here don’t run a municipal collection service at all. We say so plainly, in the city’s own words, instead of leaving the page blank.
• Honest gaps. Some cities collect every other week without publishing which week is which. We say “every other week” and stop there, because the missing half isn’t ours to invent.

Coverage

1,211 cities across 47 states have a verified schedule, chosen by where people actually search. Coverage grows as cities publish machine-readable data, and holiday schedules are re-checked each winter because most cities publish only the holidays still ahead. Browse the full city list.

Your city’s own page is always the authority. If we disagree with it, we’re the ones who are wrong — and we want to know. Tell us here and we’ll re-check it against the source, usually within a couple of days.
